Business Beats – October 2010

Organised by AK & Co. Group and its first signature event, Business Beats is a business foundations series and networking event aimed at entrepreneurs who want to start their own business. The event will be held at Barsoma in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley over 3 Tuesday nights in October the 5^th,12^thand19^th.  

Topics cover the general aspects of starting a business in Queensland with a strong focus on fun and networking, while learning about the basics of starting a successful business. Each week an expert in the areas of Legal, Accounting/Finance and Marketing will speak, giving experience, knowledge and tools of the best way to approach each these aspects. The series intends to take the usual networking and learning style out of the seminar room and into a relaxed and interactive environment. The series will be replicated periodically throughout the year, to give Brisbane's entrepreneurs a stronger desire and the chance to succeed in their chosen business.

Stereo Sonic Promotion – August 2010

First promotional job done by the new business addition to AK & Co. Group. AK & Co. Promotional models were out promoting this years Stereo Sonics Festival at the EKKA day races. They day was a huge success with the girls providing a professional and unique service. 

Coca Cola Amatil- Corporate Team Building Day – October 2009

The Human Resources manager of a multi-national corporation enlisted AK & Co. to tailor a corporate       team building day earlier this year. Participants from the engineering and finance sector were challenged at a day of team building exercises held at the Tennyson Tennis Centre. The day proved to be productive and enjoyable for all involved.

A Night of Musical Elation - Titus Ani Charity Fundraiser – September 2009

Over twenty thousand people were contracted to partake in a fundraiser to fund legal representation for a young Nigerian man, Titus Ani. Titus awaited death by firing squad after being convicted for importing narcotics in Bali, Indonesia. An international legal team acting on a pro bono basis collaborated to raise funds required to enlist and retain the expertise of a team of Indonesian lawyers

AK & Co. was one of many organisations including Amnesty International, Queensland Law Society and Law Asia to participate in the planning of this worthy cause. Attilla Sautov and the Mueller International Chamber Orchestra among others performed at a benefit concert at Claver Theatre, All Hallows’ School. The night was attended by two hundred and seventy guests, successfully drew attention to this cause and raised much-needed proceeds.
